As a senior physical design expert, you will be responsible for implementing and leading the development of high-performance block-level physical designs.

  • Implement and oversee complex block-level physical signoff and timing signoff tasks
  • Develop and generate ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) as needed to optimize results
  • Lead power signoff processes to ensure optimal power consumption
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and lead a team of 4-6 engineers
  • Leverage automation skills in Perl, Tcl, Awk, and Python to streamline workflows and improve efficiency

A strong leader with excellent communication skills is required to serve as the single point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in physical design implementation, including block-level design, signoff, and timing optimization.

Job Requirements

Key qualifications include:

  • Expertise in physical design implementation and management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Awk, and Python
  • Experience with EDA tools and methodologies

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience in physical design implementation and leadership
  • Hands-on experience with IC design flows and EDA tools
