A seasoned API Platform Engineer is sought after to spearhead the deployment and management of hybrid runtime environments.

This key role requires a skilled professional with expertise in Kubernetes cluster management, cloud-native infrastructure automation, and APIGEE Hybrid platform deployment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and deploy scalable Kubernetes clusters for APIGEE Hybrid runtime environments.
  • Perform maintenance, upgrades, and patching of APIGEE Hybrid and APIGEE X environments.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using Terraform and Helm charts.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Bash/Shell and Python to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Kubernetes Expertise:
    • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters (GKE, AKS, or on-prem).
    • Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications using Helm charts.
    • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, and service mesh.
  • APIGEE Expertise:
    • Strong experience with APIGEE Hybrid platform deployment and runtime management.
    • Familiarity with APIGEE X and API management concepts (OAuth, JWT, API keys, SSL/TLS).
    • Experience with API proxy development, debugging, and policy implementation.
  • Scripting & Automation:
    • Strong skills in Bash/Shell scripting and Python for automation and operational tasks.
    • Experience developing automation pipelines for deployment and monitoring.
  • Cloud Platform Experience:
    • Solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM).
    • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • DevOps & CI/CD:
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
    • Experience integrating APIGEE deployments into automated pipelines.
  • Networking & Security:
    • Understanding of network security, firewall rules, VPNs, and cloud security best practices.
    • Knowledge of API security standards and compliance requirements.
