Senior Water Resources Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Resources Engineering Specialist to lead and manage water resources engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering designs and models for water projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive engineering designs and models for water projects, utilizing advanced software tools such as AutoCAD, EPANET, HEC-RAS, or similar.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies, assessments, and analyses of water systems to determine optimal solutions.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and governmental agencies to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in water engineering.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of water resources engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software tools and modeling programs, with a strong understanding of their applications and limitations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes related to water projects, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in water resources engineering or a related field.
