About the Team

The Pricing Analytics team supports pricing managers and merchants in defining and optimizing pricing strategies for various product categories across channels.

The team leverages analytics to forecast/measure the impact of pricing actions, develop strategic price zones, recommend price changes, and identify sales/margin opportunities to achieve business targets.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a Strategic Price Analyst responsible for developing strategic price tests, data-driven price change recommendations, and ad-hoc work supporting pricing efforts. In this role, you'll assist Sr. Pricing Analysts & Pricing Managers in developing, modeling, communicating, and tracking performance of new initiatives related to Pricing.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Provide cluster-specific data analytics, including development and deployment of necessary dashboards, reporting, and insights.
  • Research, design, and develop statistical approaches/models for specific business problems (Price Testing, Price Change, Post Mortem & Category review).
  • Design and develop processes to gather, explore, structure, enrich, and clean large datasets from various internal and external sources.
  • Leverage item role designation (Key Value Item (KVI), Head, Core & Tail) models in support of Role of Category and Intent objectives to develop insights.
  • Develop scalable retail test processes and frameworks for design of experiment, test vs control testing, baseline development, assessment, and recommendations.
  • Analyze competitor demographics & performance for pricing across key categories.
  • Ad Hoc reporting and analysis for Pricing team.
  • Develop executive-ready presentations synthesizing multiple data sets to effect a new decision related to Pricing.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the business to provide effective solutions that meet customer needs and drive concepts from vision to completion with limited direction.
