Job Description

The Data Migration Expert plays a crucial role in the overall end-to-end execution of data migration activities.

This position involves close collaboration with local business and functional teams, acting as a bridge between the global team and data migration execution teams.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the deployment wave focal point for assigned data objects in scope for deployment or local data migration projects.
  • Collaborating with business data owners, functional experts, ETL teams, legacy system teams, and deployment teams.
  • Driving migration activities for deployment projects.
  • Verifying data transformation tools and outputs for deployment wave projects.
  • Managing DMW load file preparation and performing initial verification.
  • Executing DVT scripts and supporting defect/hypercare incident resolution for assigned data objects.
  • Coordinating defect resolution or escalating to senior experts as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of ERP project implementation experience with strong data migration expertise.
  • Proven experience in data migration execution across multi-country, multi-system environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP BODS.
  • Strong understanding of GxP and CSV requirements.
  • SAP Certified in at least one relevant functional area.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrix-based organization.
  • Strategic and hands-on mindset with experience running meetings, tracking progress, and managing issues.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages preferred).
