Special Educator Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and behavioral support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness in students' learning.
  • Develop and implement remedial plans to address learning gaps and improve student outcomes.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in the classroom and through small group sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to keep them informed about their child's progress and provide guidance on how they can support their child at home.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
