Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our automation group, you will be responsible for the commissioning and process controls of industrial systems.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in automation engineering is required.
Technical Requirements
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram (FBD) is essential.
  • Experience with PID programming and loop tuning is also required.
  • Communication protocols such as Modbus, CC-Link, RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, Wireless, and IoT must be well understood.
  • MQTT protocol experience is highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Schneider platforms is necessary.
  • Ability to prepare and review IO lists is crucial.
  • SCADA/HMI development skills are preferred.
  • Panel engineering knowledge is also desirable.
Instrumentation & Electrical Knowledge
  • Thermocouple, pressure, and level transmitters/switches must be well understood.
  • Proximity sensors and modulating valves require hands-on experience.
  • Instrumentation and control earthing knowledge is essential.
  • Power earthing understanding is necessary.
  • Familiarity with safety systems (SIL, interlocks) is preferred.
Site & Field Experience
  • Site commissioning experience is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with panel wiring and termination is required.
  • Physical work during setup is expected.
  • Multi-site execution experience is valuable.
Project & Managerial Capability
  • Team management and leadership experience is required.
  • Industrial automation project experience is essential.
  • Vendor coordination and procurement knowledge is necessary.
  • Ownership of deliverables in projects is critical.
Documentation & Communication
  • Functional design specification (FDS) documentation is essential.
  • IO documentation and wiring diagrams are required.
  • Control panel layout and GA review knowledge is necessary.
  • Reporting, email, and team communication skills are essential.
  • Exposure to remote diagnostics/cloud integration is preferred.
