Job Title:

L2 - Storage Solutions Specialist

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement scalable storage architectures, aligning with business objectives and IT strategies.
  • Contribute to high availability and disaster recovery plans related to storage infrastructure.
  • Define and enforce storage standards, policies, and best practices for maximum efficiency.
  • Implement and configure mission critical Fiber Channel Storage Systems (NetApp, Dell, Pure, Cisco, Brocade) with expertise.
  • Lead the implementation of new storage systems and expansions with minimal disruption.
  • Plan and execute data migrations and storage upgrades with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting for seamless knowledge transfer.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Provide expert support for storage-related issues, including debugging and resolving hardware and software problems.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Expertise in SAN/NAS technologies, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS/SMB.
  • Proficiency in storage platforms like NetApp, EMC Unity/PMAX, Pure Storage, IBM Storwize.
  • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery technologies for data protection.
  • Experience with cloud storage (AWS S3/EBS, Azure Blob).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, OpenStack).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing enterprise storage systems with strong problem-solving skills.
