Incident Response Lead

This role directs active projects, conducting analysis and advanced forensic examination. The team collaborates to support clients and restore operations during incidents by identifying threat actor behavior and activity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform digital forensic analysis on various operating systems and networking appliances.
  • Document findings according to industry standards and develop timelines of events.
  • Identify additional sources for collection based on analysis and address gaps in the attack lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to utilize data from monitoring and alerts to identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) relevant to the case.
  • Handle complex and critical security incidents.
  • Deliver forensic findings and updates to the team clearly and concisely through a narrative outlining event timeline.
  • Track findings and capture data points to enrich threat intelligence and inform investigations.
  • Raise technical constraints and issues within the Forensics team to pinpoint incident details and escalate them to leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of forensic artifacts and analysis of operating system artifacts.
  • Thorough experience analyzing network and operating system log files.
  • Proficiency with enterprise security controls and ability to provide findings confidently and factually.
  • Comprehensive experience handling sensitive, confidential, and proprietary datasets.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, digital forensics, or cyber security and 8+ years of incident response or digital forensics experience.
  • Mastery of tools like EnCase, Axiom, FTK, X-Ways, SIFT, Splunk, Redline, Volatility, Wireshark, TCP Dump, and other open-source forensic tools.
