Job Title:

We are looking for a Risk Analyst to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing credit risk models and associated frameworks in an unsecured lending context.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement credit risk models and associated frameworks to assess the likelihood of potential losses
  • Monitor and review risk strategies across the lending life cycle, including acquisition, underwriting, cross-sell and collections
  • Analyze portfolio performance on a periodic basis, identifying early warning signals and tracking portfolio trends against accepted parameters
  • Ensure that policies are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in the external environment and internal risk appetite
  • Prepare management information systems (MIS) and dashboards to provide insights on changing market conditions
  • Regularly review processes to ensure adherence to risk policies and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field from a top-tier college
  • 3-6 years of experience in managing risk in a financial company or fintech organization
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a minimum of 2 years of experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from data
  • Strong understanding of statistical models and their applications in risk assessment
  • Experience in microfinance or MSME lending is an added advantage
