Content Writer Apprentice Job Opportunity

About the Role:

The Content Writer Apprentice will be responsible for creating engaging and insightful content that serves both B2B and B2C audiences in the student housing industry. This includes writing high-quality content for blog pages, off-page activities, SEO link-building, script writing, and research-based content for the B2B audience.

This role is ideal for a creative and detail-oriented writer with 0-1 year of experience in content writing, link building, fair knowledge of off-page, B2B marketing and a basic understanding of SEO.

The ideal candidate will craft compelling content across various diverse formats like blogs, newsletters, industry reports, case studies, video scripts, and social media.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting link-building by identifying high-authority sites, placing contextual backlinks, aligning with SEO, and ensuring relevant brand tone
  • Writing SEO-optimised guest blogs and outreach content catering to relevant audiences
  • Conducting keyword research for blogs and competitor audits to identify content gaps
  • Inserting anchor text and backlinks naturally to support off-page SEO
  • Collaborating with SEO and content teams to track performance and refine strategies
  • Staying updated on off-page SEO trends and sharing fresh ideas for improving domain authority
  • Helping draft captions, short posts, and engagement hooks for LinkedIn posts for the company's B2B pages to boost thought leadership and visibility
  • Drafting YouTube scripts for property descriptions and other paid campaigns
  • Monitoring and reporting rank tracking across high-priority keywords and regions using tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush
  • Tracking outreach and placement progress via Google Sheets and dashboards to ensure smooth execution
  • Performing competitor analysis to benchmark the company's performance and discover new backlink/content opportunities
  • Staying updated on the latest Google algorithm updates and SERP trends

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing or any related field with 0-1 year of work experience preferred
  • A sound understanding of B2C content writing across multiple formats like blogs, email marketing, etc.
  • A sound understanding of off-page SEO and other link-building techniques
  • Familiarity with platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • An enthusiastic, creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
  • Design sensibility, understanding briefs and ability to work collaboratively for cross-team projects
  • Familiarity with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4
  • Good analytical skills with knowledge of operating Google Sheets
  • Ability to apply advanced formulas and visual reporting on Google Sheets is an added advantage

Bonus Points:

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for maintaining trackers and other analytical tasks
  • Analytical mindset and ability to decode numbers
  • Should be familiar with Notion
  • Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMRush, Google Keyword Planner, Google Search Console
  • Basic understanding of Content Management Systems like Webflow is an added advantage
