  • Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled GIS Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geospatial technologies and experience in designing and developing custom GIS applications.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Design and Develop Custom GIS Applications: Create innovative geospatial solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as Python, ArcPy, and ESRI ArcGIS Suite.
  2. Analyze User Requirements: Develop and optimize geospatial workflows and tools to meet user needs by conducting thorough analysis of user requirements.
  3. Integrate GIS Applications: Seamlessly integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs to ensure smooth data exchange.
  4. Develop Scripts and Tools: Automate data processing, analysis, and modeling using Python/ArcPy and other scripting languages.
  5. Perform Spatial Data Modeling: Model complex spatial relationships and perform advanced geoprocessing tasks to provide actionable insights.
  6. Maintain and Optimize Spatial Databases: Ensure the integrity and performance of spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server) by implementing robust maintenance and optimization strategies.
  7. Create Interactive Maps and Dashboards: Use ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox to create engaging visualizations that effectively communicate data insights.
  8. Conduct Performance Tuning and Testing: Ensure GIS solutions meet performance and quality standards by conducting thorough testing and tuning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development, preferably with expertise in ESRI ArcGIS Suite, Geocortex Essentials, VertiGIS Studio Suite, and ESRI Experience Builder.
  • Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript (Leaflet/ArcGIS API for JS), or .NET, as well as proficiency in spatial databases: PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial.
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with ETL/data transformation tools such as FME, GDAL, or other ETL/data transformation tools.
  • Web Development Frameworks: Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Integration Experience: Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM).
  • Open-Source Platforms: Familiarity with open-source GIS platforms (QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Certifications in GIS (e.g., Esri Technical Certification).
  • Cloud Experience: Experience working with cloud GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS/Azure).
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
