Job Opportunity: Data Governance Specialist

A key component of our organization's information management strategy is data governance. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and supporting the tools and technology required to enable a robust data governance program.

The Data Governance Lead will act as a primary contributor in the implementation of data governance programs, leveraging popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation to facilitate data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing data governance tools and technologies to establish clear data ownership and access control management

  • Developing custom integrations between data governance tools and various data stores to map and view data lineage

  • Migrating existing data sources to a data governance tool, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption

  • Designing and implementing workflow management systems to optimize and automate data governance workflows

Requirements:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data governance tools and technologies

  • 5+ years of experience in data management space, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions
