Fraud Data Analyst

As a Fraud Data Analyst, you will be responsible for developing predictive analytics models and machine learning algorithms to identify suspicious activities and patterns in data. Your primary goal is to continuously optimize fraud monitoring systems to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.

  • You will analyze internal and external data sources to identify vulnerabilities and recommend proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.
  • Your key performance indicators (KPIs) will measure the effectiveness of fraud detection strategies, ensuring that our systems are performing at their best.

We stay updated on emerging fraud tactics, industry benchmarks, and regulatory changes through market intelligence. This information enables us to analyze competitors' risk management strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.

You will provide actionable insights from market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making, helping us to make informed decisions about our business.

As a team leader, you will recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of data analysts, data scientists, and market intelligence specialists. You will work closely with risk management, compliance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.

QualificationsEducation
  • A master's degree in data science, statistics, economics, business administration, or a related field is required.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in fraud analytics, risk management, or data analytics are necessary.
  • You must have a proven track record of developing and implementing fraud detection systems.
  • Experience with market intelligence tools and competitive analysis is beneficial.
Technical Skills
  • Expertise in data analytics tools, such as Python, R, SQL, and SAS, is essential.
  • Familiarity with machine learning platforms and fraud detection software is desirable.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is required.
