Job Opportunity: Financial Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the long-term business plans, business strategies, yearly budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with the business teams.

  1. Role Purpose & Objective
  • The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct industry analysis and competitor studies in partnership with sales and marketing teams to gather relevant information for business strategy and plan formulation.
  • This includes tracking competitors closely and proposing key takeaways for the organization.
  1. Key Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

Business/Financials

  • Conduct industry analysis and competitor studies in partnership with sales and marketing teams.
  • Prepare the long-term business plans, business strategies, yearly budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with the business teams.
  • Publish and analyze relevant dashboards highlighting the performance of the business against targets/budgets.
  • Analyze the performance of different business units and highlight performers and non-performers.
  • Assist business leaders in developing action plans for non-performers.

Customer

  • Attend and assist customers with related queries.
  • Must have a fair understanding of taxation laws and assist in interpreting laws to drive projects that impact the organization.
  • Must be able to guide operations, IT, and business teams on actions to undertake pursuant to new requirements or changes in existing requirements per laws.

Internal Process

  • Process improvement: Understand current processes followed by the organization and suggest improvements to develop efficiency.
  • Cost management and cost control: Track costs of various verticals against budget and perform variance analysis.
  • Suggest alternatives to optimize costs incurred to improve profitability.

Learning & Innovation

  • To keep oneself up-to-date on relevant laws.
  • To complete all online learning modules on time.
  • To complete self-assessment on time.
  1. Minimum Requirements of Knowledge & Skills

Educational Qualifications

  • MBA (Finance)/ CA/ CFA

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in financial analysis or planning & budgeting in a bank/financial institution/advisory firm.

Certifications

  • NA

Functional Skills

  • Strong accounting & tax background.
  • Fair understanding of taxation laws (Income Tax & GST).
  • Expert in handling voluminous data & hands-on experience with MS Office.
