Software Development Position

This role involves designing and developing software programs for various platforms, including databases, applications, tools, and networks. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with product designers during the design phase, author a technical approach to feature development, and deliver high-quality results as part of an agile team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and troubleshoot software programs using relevant technologies and frameworks.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Support, Product Management, and other Service Teams.
  • Participate in scrum activities, contributing to the development of high-impact projects across the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Expertise in multiple programming languages, including Java, Node.js, C++, and Python, is necessary.
  • Knowledge of microservices frameworks such as Spring and Micronaut is also required.
  • Experience building interfaces using JSON REST APIs and GraphQL is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in front-end scripting using JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, and KnockoutJS is necessary.
  • Experience with web markup using HTML5 and CSS3 is required.
  • Knowledge of container-based deployment tools like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Additional skills in Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Redis are highly valued.
  • Experience with test frameworks like Postman/Newman, JUnit, Enzyme, Jest, Karma, Mocha, Chai, and Puppeteer is necessary.
  • Experience with distributed source control using Git is required.
  • Experience with build tools such as Gradle, Maven, Webpack, Npm, and Yarn is essential.
  • Experience with continuous deployment tools like TeamCity and Jenkins is highly valued.
  • Working experience in a Linux-based environment is necessary.
  • Familiarity with log analysis tools and debugging tools is required.
Functional Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms is essential.
  • Experience developing distributed, fault-tolerant applications is necessary.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies, specifically Scrum, is required.
  • Experience using ticket tracking systems like JIRA is highly valued.
  • Ability to translate wireframes into prototypes and production-ready interfaces is necessary.
  • Ability to quickly learn new programming languages and technologies is essential.
  • Self-motivation, ability to work independently on projects even while the design is evolving, is required.
  • Strong desire to stay up-to-date with new technologies and services is necessary.
  • Passion for learning is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, including cross-team collaboration, is required.
  • Ability to deliver basic functionality and iterate is necessary.
