Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a senior developer with expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and transformations using cloud services and DBT. The ideal candidate will have typically 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, proficiency in using DBT for data transformation, testing, and documentation, advanced SQL skills for data modeling, performance optimization, and querying large datasets, and understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star schema design.

Job Description

As a Data Build tool (DBT) senior developer, you will work with the team to create and manage data models and transformations using DBT for efficient data consumption, develop and maintain a data quality framework, including automated testing and cross-dataset validation, write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data processing in BigQuery, and collaborate with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Typically 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using DBT for data transformation, testing, and documentation.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data modeling, performance optimization, and querying large datasets.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star schema design.
