Heavy Machinery Operations Manager

As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise and industry knowledge to drive strategic decision-making across multiple departments. This involves working closely with various stakeholders, including personnel, to oversee critical operations.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage plant & machinery department, particularly high-rise towers, with expertise in erection, dismantling, maintenance, and operation of heavy equipment.
  2. Develop methodologies for equipment setup, operation, and preparation of checklists to ensure efficiency and safety.
  3. Control spare parts inventory and optimize costs by sourcing plant & machinery operators and mechanics.
  4. Generate local management information systems (MIS) for mechanical heads at headquarters or project in-charges.
  5. Maintain site records, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and equipment upkeep at zonal sites.
  6. Create monthly budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine, monitoring them regularly.
  7. Train personnel on safe equipment usage, repairs, and servicing, as well as record-keeping best practices.
  8. Optimize plant & machinery utilization to match rated productivity output.
  9. Minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize availability at the site.
  10. Establish service schedules based on hours/Kms running, implementing them strictly to achieve minimum equipment breakdowns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
