Role Overview

The CIO owns the funnel from sourcing to execution, owning the investing engine of VCMint. You'll craft theses, build a high-quality deal pipeline, run evaluations, and orchestrate diligence with external partners.

You'll work closely with Aditya and Neelima, keeping our cadence fast, founder-friendly, and operationally sharp.

Sourcing & Thesis
  • Build and maintain a quality pipeline across seed/early and later-stage deals.
  • Develop and refresh thematic theses (fintech, SaaS, consumer internet, logistics, AI-enabled ops, etc.).
  • Leverage your network to find non-obvious opportunities.
  • Represent VCMint at ecosystem events and host small-format founder circles.
Evaluation & IC Prep
  • Run fast screens and deep dives on team, market, traction, and unit economics.
  • Build financial models and scenario simulations; draft crisp Investment Memos.
  • Prepare materials for an efficient Investment Committee cadence.
Diligence Leadership (LDD/FDD/Tech/Commercial)
  • Define diligence scope and manage external partners for Legal Due Diligence and Financial Due Diligence.
  • Coordinate data-room requests and synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations.
Transaction Execution
  • Support term sheet design and coordinate with counsel on definitive docs.
  • Maintain accurate closing files and hand off smoothly to finance/ops for compliance.
Portfolio Support & Follow-ons
  • Onboard each company into VCMint's advisor network and drive targeted support.
  • Track portfolio health and prepare follow-on cases.
Finance, Reporting & Ops
  • Partner with finance on allocations, wires, compliance, and record-keeping.
  • Keep pipeline CRM tidy and report on funnel metrics and cadence SLAs.
