Software Engineer 2 - Broadband Networking

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer 2 to join our team in developing cutting-edge broadband networking solutions.

Job Description:

As a Software Engineer 2, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications for carrier-grade systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, design software architectures, and implement software features.

You will be expected to have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with colleagues, provide timely updates, and contribute to the overall success of the project.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • C programming language: Proficiency in C is essential for this role. You should have experience with C compilers, data structures, file input/output operations, and debugging techniques.
  • C++ programming language: Familiarity with C++ is also required. You should have experience with object-oriented programming principles, template metaprogramming, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Python scripting language: Knowledge of Python is highly desirable. You should have experience with data structures, file input/output operations, and control flow statements.
  • Networking protocols: Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, PPPoE, L2TP, and other relevant protocols is essential.
  • Unix/Linux operating system: Familiarity with Unix/Linux is required. You should have experience with shell scripting, process management, file system operations, and network configuration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Broadband Edge technology: Experience with Broadband Edge technology and protocols such as DHCP, PPPoE, L2TP, etc., is highly desirable.
  • Cloud deployment environments: Familiarity with cloud deployment environments, including virtual machines, containers, orchestration, system services, is highly desirable.
  • Open-source facilities: Experience with open-source facilities such as gRPC, gNMI, OpenConfig, etc., is highly desirable.
