Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Database Administrator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, data architecture, and performance tuning. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient databases, as well as troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.

They must have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in database administration and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with JSON data modeling and optimization.
  • Strong SQL expertise with proven ability to refactor complex queries.
  • Experience with Amazon RDS, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
  • Familiarity with dbt for data modeling and transformations.
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow.
  • Familiarity with MonetDB.
  • Exposure to AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
