Job Overview

The role of a Trade Support Specialist is to provide high-quality front-to-back trade support for private banking clients. This involves monitoring trading systems, booking trades on a trade date, and performing daily reconciliations and clearances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring trading systems and booking trades on a trade date.
  • Performing daily reconciliation and clearance of positions/balances breaks, timely escalating to supervisor on any outstanding breaks by day end.
  • Daily interaction with the Sales & Trading Desks and PWM business unit answering via phone any ad-hoc requests/trade related questions.
  • Demonstrating strong process knowledge of business processes on products managed under the candidate's remit.
  • Ensuring that colleagues are adequately cross-trained to cover planned or unplanned absence.
  • Escalation and thorough documentation of all issues / breaks to Supervisor / Manager.
  • Actively embracing process re-engineering to streamline / improve existing processes. Active involvement in project work.
  • Ensuring compliance / adherence with Service Level Agreements.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-6 years' experience in the financial services sector such as a middle office / trade support role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Superb attention to detail, accuracy & quality, with mathematical skills (PnL calculations).
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and time-criticality tasks considering the T+0 nature of the transactions.
  • Able to absorb information and learn quickly whilst displaying self-starter characteristics.
  • Required strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and managing large-scale data).
  • Innovation and continuous improvements: mind-set to challenge the existing processes and status quo.
  • Knowledge of productivity tools like Alteryx, UIpath, PowerBI, etc. will be an added advantage.
