Network Automation Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Network Automation Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test strategies to ensure robust performance across routing, switching, and platform-level features.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of network testing and automation, with a strong focus on SONiC fundamentals, including architecture, automation frameworks, and data center networking. Proficiency in PyTest automation, as well as experience with PTF and SpyTest, is highly desirable.

A successful candidate will also have hands-on experience in setting up SONiC servers and builds, as well as a solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective teamwork with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications, such as NCIA, JNCIS, or equivalent, as well as experience in large-scale data center environments and SONiC production deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of professional experience in network testing and automation.
  • Strong expertise in SONiC fundamentals, with focus on foundations, test architecture design, and SONiC CLI/commands.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up SONiC servers and builds.
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, STP, LACP, LLDP, ARP) /Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, VRRP, ECMP).
  • Experience troubleshooting ASIC/Syncd failures and Redis database anomalies.
  • Proficiency in PyTest automation for test development and execution.
  • Familiarity with PTF and practical experience using SpyTest for network validation.
  • Experience on Data-Center Technologies such as - IP-Clos/IP-Fabric, MC-LAGs.
  • Ability to debug blank box issues and platform-level anomalies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NCIA, JNCIS certifications (Juniper) or equivalent, such as: o CCNA, CCNP (Cisco) o NSX-T VCP (VMware Network Virtualization) o PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
  • Experience in large-scale Data Center environments and SONiC production deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
