Role Overview

BIM Technician Job Summary

This is a role for skilled BIM technicians who are adept at producing high-quality drawings and models in the context of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Autodesk Civil 3D software, Revit MEP, and HVAC systems.

  • Producing watermains, piping layouts, profile drawings according to BIM/CAD standards is key to success in this position.
  • The technician must be capable of preparing drawings, including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings, using various software applications.

Responsibilities:

Our team seeks an individual with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities who can contribute to our project's success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Production and Quality Control: Ensuring that all drawings meet client standards and quality requirements.
  • Design Development: Collaborating with engineers and technologists to complete road/parking lot, storm and sanitary sewer, water main, and grading drawings.
  • Modeling Assistance: Assisting engineers and technologists in completing 3D modeling works.

Key Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Discipline.
  • Experience with AutoCAD drafting and Autodesk Civil 3D Design.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, enthusiastic team player with good communication skills.

Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, having knowledge of additional software tools related to civil engineering would be beneficial.
