Business Development and Portfolio

This role plays a key part in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, driving strategic initiatives and aligning them with long-term company goals.

The Business Development and Portfolio Manager is responsible for conducting comprehensive product analyses, identifying products for internal nomination, collaboration opportunities with external partners, and preparing technical reports to support portfolio and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Overview and Lead Identification:
  • Prepare product overview reports to identify potential leads for internal nomination and collaboration opportunities.
  • Support the team in collaboration projects working with cross-functional teams and facilitating projects at various stages from due diligence to deal closure.
  • Management Discussions:
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on market trends, opportunity areas, and prepare long-term revenue forecasts to facilitate discussion with higher management.
  • Regular updates on project progress to facilitate partner discussions.
  • Track and Analyze Disruptive Events:
  • Monitor drug shortages, recall events, regulatory actions, and newly published regulatory guidelines.
  • Trade Shows and Industry Events:
  • Support the team for organizing trade events like CPHI, DCAT, including lead identification, product opportunity evaluation, meeting scheduling, agenda preparation, and other logistical support.

Core Competencies:

  • Masters degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry experience of 6-8 years.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent data processing and analytics skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including legal, R&D, regulatory, and Marketing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and drive consensus.

Travel Requirements:

  • The role may involve domestic and international travel, as per business needs.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 6 years of industry experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
