Demand Forecasting Specialist Job Overview:

  • About the Position:

A skilled Demand Forecasting Specialist is needed to analyze sales data and market trends, forecasting product demand with precision. This role requires expertise in statistical modeling, data analysis, and ERP systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts of product demand
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify patterns and make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for alignment and effective communication
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product life cycles, seasonality, and other factors impacting demand
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience in demand planning and forecasting, preferably in consumer goods, food & beverage, or manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with Kinaxis Maestro highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of S&OP and S&OE processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires working effectively in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • A willingness to work in a morning shift (7 AM - 4 PM IST) and hybrid role based in Pune is required
