About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Data Architect to join our team at Allianz. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data products using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Product Design and Implementation: Collaborate with agile and analytics data teams to design and implement scalable data products using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Cloud Expertise and Strategic Insights: Provide strategic insights and expertise on cloud capabilities, focusing on AWS or Azure, ensuring compliance with global and local regulations, security, and risk management.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for end-to-end cloud data architecture at Allianz.
  • Agile and DevOps Methodologies: Apply Agile and DevOps methodologies and implementation approaches in project delivery.
  • Communication Skills: Utilize strong communication skills to understand and deliver change and BAU requirements effectively.
  • Innovative Engineering and Strategy: Drive innovative engineering, design, and strategy with your experience and ideas.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and upskill team members, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to internal networks and special interest groups, enhancing our knowledge base and community.

Desired Experience:

  • Technical Skills: Expertise in managing Kubernetes components, scalability, and cost/consumption monitoring.
  • Data Management: Deep understanding of managing relational and non-relational data stores, scalability, and cost/consumption monitoring.
  • Cloud Analytics Environments: Provide advisory and thought leadership on cloud-based analytics environments and big data technologies, integrating with existing data and analytics platforms.
  • Hands-on Experience:
    • Big Data Stack: Big Data stack (e.g., SPARK, Kafka)
    • Relational/Non-Relational Stores: Relational/non-relational stores (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra)
    • Related Open-Source Software Platforms and Languages: Related open-source software platforms and languages (e.g., Java, Apache, Python, Scala)
  • Solutions Architecture and Evaluation: Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.
  • Timely Delivery and Scope Management: Ensure timely delivery of solutions, working with project sponsors to size, estimate (capacity planning), and manage scope and risk.
  • Technical Governance: Provide support and technical governance, offering expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.
