Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced leader to oversee and optimize our supply chain and logistics operations for the chip design platform of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited. This critical role encompasses procurement, supplier management, production planning and logistics to ensure seamless execution, strategic sourcing and efficient delivery of materials and products in alignment with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning:
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product management teams to align forecasts with customer demand and product roadmaps.
  • Develop and implement robust production plans that meet customer demand, optimize inventory levels and align with fab capacity, lead times, and the availability of raw materials.
  • Develop detailed production schedules that consider key factors like lead times for materials, foundry schedules, and packaging/testing timelines.
  • Utilize MRP and ERP systems to manage prototype and production inventory control.
  • Coordinate with R&D, sales and marketing team to ensure sync of production schedules.
  • Implement systems to track changes in customer demand and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Monitor production progress and forecasting, adjusting plans as necessary to address bottlenecks or changes in demand.
  • Manage capacity planning at OSATs.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels, implementing control measures to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits analyzing the data to find areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to forecast demand and align inventory with business goals.

Supplier Management:

  • Drive competitive pricing from our suppliers using RFP and RFQ activities soliciting bids from multiple suppliers, market research, cost modeling and exploration of consortium buying.
  • Manage relationships with foundries, OSAT providers and other suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Lead supplier risk management strategy diverse supplier pool and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions.
  • Supplier performance management evaluating suppliers using scorecard system with KPIs such as price, quality, delivery, and service. Drive continuous improvement activities identifying cost saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. Resolve issues related to delivery and quality.
  • Implement best practices for supply chain optimization such as Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management and Vendor Managed Inventory programs (VMI).
  • Utilize E-Procurement systems and data analytics for transparency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Prioritize sustainable and ethical sourcing.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Analyze cycle times and yield rates from the foundries and packaging houses to identify areas for production optimization.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain and production planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electronics or electrical background preferred) or Business Administration or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Certification in supply chain management (APICS CSCP, ISM CPSM) is a plus.
  • 10+ years of supply chain management, procurement, production planning within the semiconductor industry.
  • Proven experience with fabless semiconductor operations including working with foundries and OSAT providers.
  • Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems, with hands on experience using these tools for supply chain management and planning.
  • Experience with JIT and VMI and other supply chain optimization techniques.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain planning, procurement and logistics within the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead process innovation and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships.
  • Familiar with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify the underlying trends from the data, gain insights and devise solutions.

Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
