Lead Product Designer

About This Role

Clinikk aims to address India's healthcare and health insurance challenges by providing an affordable, all-inclusive health membership. This membership combines our exclusive healthcare benefits with group health insurance. Members gain unlimited access to family medicine doctors, free medicine, tests, specialist reimbursements, and group insurance for hospitalization.

As a product designer in this role, you will lead the end-to-end design of AI-first interfaces assisting doctors in delivering personalized care. You will also support the usability of health insurance products.

You will apply strategic thinking and systems-level design to define delightful and accessible user experiences that align with Clinikk's mission to bring integrated healthcare and insurance to millions.

To succeed, you must balance user needs, clinical protocols, and business goals when designing for multiple platforms (web for doctors, mobile for patients/customers).

Our ideal candidate uses qualitative and quantitative research to understand doctor and patient workflows; synthesizes insights into user journeys, personas, and opportunities.

We are looking for someone who can collaborate closely with product managers, physicians, engineers, data scientists, and insurance specialists to validate hypotheses, plan sprints, and ensure successful execution.

You will explore and prototype new interaction patterns, including conversational UI, adaptive dashboards, and AI-assisted workflows. You will iterate rapidly to test with users.

This role requires ownership of the design craft from low-fidelity sketches and information architecture to polished UI and micro-interactions. You must ensure accessibility and compliance with medical and insurance regulations.

You will define and evangelize design principles, frameworks, and processes that improve efficiency and consistency across our products.

Achieving success in this role involves hiring and mentoring junior designers and defining a design-driven culture.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in product/interaction design, with at least part of that in consumer or enterprise tech. Experience in healthcare, insurtech, or AI-driven products is a plus.

They have a deep understanding of user-centred design principles, systems thinking, and the ability to translate complex requirements into simple, intuitive interfaces.

Strong collaboration and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders.

Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite is essential.

Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms, as well as comfort with responsive design and accessibility guidelines, is necessary.

Bonus points if they have exposure to healthcare regulations, clinical workflows, or insurance products.

About You

Our ideal candidate has a degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. They have 4+ years of experience in product/interaction design and strong collaboration and communication skills.

They have a deep understanding of user-centred design principles, systems thinking, and the ability to translate complex requirements into simple, intuitive interfaces.
