Job Title: Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mechanical Designer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sheet metal fabrication and strong technical knowledge of design processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for sheet metal components and assemblies.
  • Develop fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and technical documentation for production.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
  • Assist in developing new products and customizing existing designs as per client requirements.
  • Evaluate designs for quality standards, safety norms, and international specifications.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for design feasibility and project execution.
  • Support design modifications, revisions, and documentation control.
  • Conduct basic design validations through prototyping, fitment trials, and feedback from the shop floor.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D modeling, assemblies, rendering).
  • Ability to prepare development drawings, exploded views, and assembly drawings.
  • Understanding of tolerances, GD&T, welding symbols, and material specifications.
  • Good visualization and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and technical documentation.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
Benefits
  • Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferably with specialization in Sheet Metal / Design)
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal design and fabrication industry
  • Experience in commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration equipment, or similar stainless steel fabrication industries is an added advantage
