Our organization seeks a Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead the design process and collaborate with international teams.

About the Role
  • This position entails working as a senior engineer in an engineering team, focused on production and liaison with international partners.
  • The successful candidate will prepare feasibility study reports to meet brief requirements and review them with relevant stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with international teams to assemble design specifications compliant with employer requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  2. Agree and monitor the scope of works with relevant stakeholders.
  3. Define building requirements and purpose of use to facilitate detailed design.
  4. Carry out detailed design according to client requirements, including complex calculations and coordination issues.
  5. Review and monitor calculation production, ensuring QA and technical reviews are completed.
  6. Ensure project costing preparation is completed in detail and to deadlines.
  7. Coordinate project contracts documents and reviews input from team members.
  8. Lead the design process, encouraging cost-effective solutions within agreed programs.
  9. Follow document control and QA processes, ensuring drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence are issued and filed appropriately.
  10. Manage a team of engineers and Revit technicians.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in structural design, preferably in a similar role or with a good track record.
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in technical software, such as RAM, CSC, ETABS, SAFE, and STAAD.
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Fluency in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
  • Demonstrated management, communication, and technical skills, with the ability to work both individually and within a team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with membership to an accredited engineering body.
  • Desirable: British Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a related field.
