Role: Payroll and Compliance Associate
About the Opportunity:
The Payroll and Compliance Expert is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and managing the company's payroll systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve any payroll-related issues.
2. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary changes.
- Prepare and submit all required payroll-related tax filings and reports.
3. System Management:
- Maintain and update payroll systems and records.
- Work with HR and IT to integrate payroll systems with other HR systems.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in payroll systems.
4. Reporting:
- Prepare regular payroll reports for management.
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Generate ad-hoc reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Employee Support:
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and benefits.
- Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures.
- Conduct payroll-related training sessions for employees and management.
Technical & Professional skills
- Bachelor's / MBA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related fields required.
- Proficient analytical ability.
- 2+ years of experience in Payroll and Compliance
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Result and Process-driven mindset.
