Geospatial Data Analyst Position at Kshema

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Analyst to join our team at Kshema. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in remote sensing and spatial analysis.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for automating satellite data downloading and processing, handling open-source satellite data for agriculture applications, writing spatial SQL queries, and pre-processing microwave data using Python. Additionally, they will work on computing satellite indices for agriculture applications and developing novel indices for crop health monitoring and harvest detection.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in remote sensing-based data analysis
  • Masters degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) from an accredited College or University in Geoinformatics/Geomatics or related field
  • Experience with programming languages like Python, JavaScript
  • Experience with Geodatabase to handle spatial data in Postgres+PostGIS
  • Hands-on experience with Google Earth Engine
  • Experience in handling both vector and raster data in Python
  • Good communication skills, self-learning capabilities, must be a team player and self-motivated
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
