Storage Specialist

This role is critical in providing high-level support for storage systems in a banking environment.

  • Provide L2/L3 level technical assistance for Storage (SAN, NAS, ECS or MF DASD + TAPE).

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks are performed using runbooks.
  2. Acknowledge and triage alerts; log and update incidents in ServiceNow/BMC.
  3. Execute backups/restores and routine jobs under supervision.
  4. Escalate to higher levels with accurate diagnostics, logs, and metrics.
  5. Maintain compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulations.
  6. Participate in disaster recovery/business continuity planning drills to ensure platform readiness.
  7. Strong documentation, evidence-driven troubleshooting, and clear communication with stakeholders.
  8. Ownership mindset with readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Storage Administration (SAN, NAS, ECS).
  • Familiarity with ITIL Processes.
  • Incident Management skills.
  • ServiceNow expertise.
  • Dell EMC certification.
  • Cisco certification.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Dell/EMC, NetApp, HPE Storage certifications (Associate/Professional).
  • Brocade/Cisco SAN certifications.
  • AWS S3/Object Storage fundamentals knowledge.

This role requires an individual who can work effectively in a team-based environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
