As a skilled data engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cutting-edge data pipelines using modern DevOps/configuration management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CI/CD Pipeline Design and Management: Develop and implement efficient CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth code integration and deployment.\
  • GitHub Branch Protection and Workflows: Configure and maintain GitHub branch protection rules and workflows to guarantee reliable code transitions.\
  • Spark Job Optimization and Debugging: Optimize and debug Spark jobs in Databricks for large-scale data processing, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.\
  • Databricks Deployment Automation: Automate Databricks deployments using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) or similar frameworks to streamline the development process.\
  • Data Pipeline Development and Maintenance: Develop, test, and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and SQL, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery.\
  • Unit Testing and Quality Checks: Implement unit testing, validation, and quality checks for data workflows to guarantee long-term reliability and consistency.\
  • Multi-Environment Deployments: Manage multi-environment deployments (Dev, Stage, Prod) ensuring reliability and consistency across all environments.\
  • Configuration File Management: Write and maintain configuration files (YAML, JSON) for workflows, pipelines, and automation, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency.\
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or syntax issues in YAML and related files, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.\
  • Legacy Report Migration: Migrate legacy reports into modern, self-serve dashboards (Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI), enhancing user experience and reducing complexity.\
  • Partnering with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand needs and deliver data models, insights, and reporting they can trust, fostering collaboration and driving business outcomes.\
  • Guardrails Implementation: Implement guardrails with data contracts, quality checks, and documentation to ensure long-term reliability, accuracy, and consistency in data delivery.\
