We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to oversee the administration of multiple Oracle and Sqlserver databases across various locations in a distributed environment.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, strong technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities to provide effective support and training to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Administration
    • Manage database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize system efficiency.
    • Monitor and administer Report Queues and Golden Gate replication routines to ensure seamless data replication.
  • Technical Support
    • Provide 24/7 on-call support to users, escalating issues to the corporate team and third parties as necessary.
    • Identify and resolve database-related problems, conduct regular health checks, and maintain master data.
  • Coordination with Vendors
    • Collaborate with vendors to coordinate new patches, requirements, and bugs within specified timelines.
  • Knowledge Transfer
    • Deliver technical training to peers and subordinates within the IT department.
  • Release Deployment
    • Test product patches released by vendors, track issues until closure, and support User Acceptance Testing for new features and functionalities.
  • Departmental Processes
    • Maintain issue trackers, approval records, and perform additional duties assigned by the reporting manager.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Be willing to travel across locations on short-term or long-term basis.
    • Possess knowledge of the healthcare provider space, if desired.
