Newspaper Circulation Coordinator

This role involves performing critical data processing tasks that are essential to the circulation operations of our company. This includes handling both home delivery and single copy sales. We work closely with other departments on related tasks, such as transportation, mailroom, finance, marketing, and advertising.

1. We process subscriber transactions for Inquirer and Daily News, as well as partner publications through the DSI system.
2. Our team runs audits of the subscriber database to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data used for distribution of printed newspaper products.
3. We perform routing maintenance functions to support the circulation database, working in conjunction with district and regional managers in home delivery.
4. We create and maintain routes in the circulation system, including entry of independent contractor and dealer data, account creation, assignment of rate codes, and draw adjustments as necessary.
5. We process subscriber billing for home delivery subscribers on a weekly basis.
6. We run day-end processing that generates the distribution data used by the home delivery and single copy sales operations.
7. We also run manifest reports used by production and mailroom departments in the manufacturing process of the daily newspapers.

1. Carrier File Maintenance is one of our key responsibilities.
2. We add rate methods to carrier rate codes.
3. We handle Route Maintenance for all publications.
4. We make District Number/ADI changes as needed.
5. We process Alternate pub daily/weekly files, including starts/stops/complaints.
6. We process daily/weekly alternate pub audits.
7. We process Mather product change files.
8. We research alternate pub batch errors.
9. We perform Draw Adjustments - PMN and Alternate Pub Bulk.
10. We handle WSJ Academic and Amenity account/draw maintenance.
11. We deal with Late changes (SCS).
12. We process Manifest data.
13. We manage Single Copy Maintenance.
14. We handle Drop changes.
15. We process Trucking changes.
16. We generate Subscriber lists.
17. We run Circulation Reports.
18. We process Weekly subscriber billing.
19. We run Weekly retention report.
20. We unlock DSI users.
21. We provide Complaint reporting to field managers.
22. We fix NOROUTE accounts.
23. We create mailing labels and reports for the mailroom.
24. We run Sunday day-end processing for SCS.
