Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Description:The role of a Procurement Specialist is crucial in sourcing and procuring materials for projects. This position involves identifying, evaluating, and selecting vendors or suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and project-related materials.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials in line with project requirements and company policies.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate with project, design, and site teams to understand technical requirements.
- Maintain vendor database, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Follow up with suppliers for order acknowledgment, dispatch details, and logistics tracking.
- Prepare purchase reports, MIS, and maintain proper documentation.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- BE/B.Tech degree in Civil/Mechanical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes in EPC/Projects/Water Industry.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/materials.
- Vendor development and supplier relationship management skills.
Skills:
- Negotiation and cost optimization skills.
- ERP/Procurement software knowledge preferred.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
