Job Overview

This role is focused on ensuring the highest quality of software products through strategic testing initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in test automation and be able to design and implement effective frameworks to support code and data validation.

A key aspect of this position is collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing automated testing frameworks using Python, Linux shell scripting, or other languages to support code and data validation.
  • Creating test strategies, writing test cases, and developing test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing.
  • Collaborating with DevOps teams to perform continuous testing in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities to meet project deadlines.
  • Logging and tracking quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Working closely with Quality Assurance Leads, Practise Leads, Developers, Architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to meet client expectations.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Test strategy creation, writing test cases, and developing test scripts.
  • Design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks to support code and data validation.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Linux shell scripting, or other languages to write and execute test scripts.
  • Strong SQL skills to support data validation and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with non-functional testing, including performance, usability, vulnerability, load testing, and compatibility testing.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, Karate, Jira, and JMeter.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience operating under an Agile Scrum and DevOps methodology.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies, including Azure.
  • Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB or CSTE.
  • Understanding of cloud testing strategies and tools.
