About the Position

We are seeking highly motivated researchers with expertise in language model training for machine translation between Japanese, English, and Southeast Asian languages (Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Thai, etc.).

The ideal candidate will have strong experimentation capability, passion about cutting-edge research, and smooth English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pioneering research and publish results in top AI conferences or journals
  • Collaborate with an international team using English as the main working language

Work Environment:

The role is remote-based, requiring flexible work arrangements.

Educational Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science background or Bachelor's with hands-on experience on Python with applications in Language Processing

Desirable Skills:

  • Hands-on research in neural machine translation (NMT) and/or large language models (LLMs)
  • Japanese language and/or one of Southeast Asian languages is preferred
  • Knowledge and prior project experience in reinforcement learning is preferred
