Cloud Architect Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Cloud Architect to play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the development of a cloud environment leveraging AWS technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its security, scalability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Manages AWS services, working with internal teams to ensure system availability meets project requirements.
  • Designs, builds, and deploys cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS).
  • Provides guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail.
  • 3+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in an outsourced/managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms.

This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, combined with a deep understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and best practices. The ideal candidate will keep up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and will have excellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies.
