Big Data Solutions Engineer

About the Role

In this challenging and exciting role, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex data transformation processes using Snowflake.

  • You will utilize SQL scripting to implement sophisticated queries and data transformations, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop, test, and deploy data models and transformations using dbt Cloud, maximizing data integrity and quality.
  • Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, preferably using GitHub, to automate workflows and reduce manual errors.
  • Evaluate and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across all solutions, driving business growth through data-driven insights.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data processes and workflows, leveraging technical expertise and analytical skills.
  • Maintain knowledge of data governance and security best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or participate in data migration projects, overseeing the transfer and integration of data assets while minimizing downtime and disruption.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in data transformation, SQL scripting, and cloud data warehousing.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, along with proficiency in dbt Cloud and data modeling.
  • Experience in cloud data warehousing, business intelligence, and data integration tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes, preferably using GitHub, and agile project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in data migration projects, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
