Electrical Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing electrical engineering projects, working closely with the Project Lead to ensure successful delivery of electrical systems within scope, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project planning, coordination, and oversight of electrical engineering projects
  • Develop and review electrical system designs, specifications, and drawings
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
  • Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Prepare technical reports, change orders, and project documentation
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues related to electrical systems
  • Ensure quality control processes and adherence to electrical safety standards and codes
  • Present project information to clients and stakeholders
  • Train and mentor junior electrical engineers and technicians
  • Assist in procurement process for electrical equipment and materials
  • Prepare project proposals and cost estimates for electrical systems

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering projects, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, DIALux)
  • Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient design practices and renewable energy systems
  • Understanding of construction methodologies and site management
  • Experience with low voltage systems (e.g., data, security, fire alarm)
