Business Development Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining industry connections, onboarding companies, and ensuring successful student placements.

Role Summary:

This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals and HR leaders, as well as collaborating with employers to understand their hiring needs and match qualified candidates with suitable opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with industry professionals and HR leaders to enhance corporate engagement.
  • Collaborate with employers to identify their hiring requirements and match qualified candidates with relevant job openings.
  • Track and exceed placement targets, ensuring successful student outcomes.
Talent Placement Support:
  • Work closely with employers to gather insights into their hiring needs and preferences.
  • Match qualified candidates with suitable job openings, facilitating seamless hiring processes.
  • Provide regular updates on outreach success, placement metrics, and industry trends.
Content & Testimonial Management:
  • Collect and showcase success stories and testimonials from placed candidates to strengthen brand credibility.
  • Utilize these testimonials to attract new corporate partners and enhance our employer network.
Event & Webinar Coordination:
  • Identify and onboard industry experts for webinars and other events to promote Biotecnika's mission and enhance corporate engagement.
  • Manage event logistics to ensure smooth execution and maximize impact.
Strategic Planning & Reporting:
  • Contribute to quarterly goal-setting and planning initiatives.
  • Deliver reports on outreach success, placement metrics, and industry trends to inform business decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years in corporate relations, B2B partnerships, or recruitment.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Networking: Strong interest in biotech, pharmaceutical, and life sciences industries is an asset.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results under deadlines.
  • Passion: Commitment to building career opportunities and strengthening industry connections.
