About the Role :

We are seeking a dynamic Backend Team Lead - Node.js & AWS Solutions Architect to join our growing team at SearchingYard. In this role, you will lead backend development efforts while architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on AWS. As a key technical leader, you will mentor engineers, set architectural standards, and ensure the best practices across projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead backend development and provide architectural direction for scalable and secure backend services.
  • Architect and design backend solutions using Node.js and AWS, ensuring integration with other systems and services.
  • Design and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services like Lambda, EC2, RDS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and more.
  • Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
  • Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components for web and mobile applications.
  • Implement best practices for system design, database architecture, security, and performance optimization.
  • Mentor and manage backend engineers, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting, and offering technical guidance.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and monitor backend services using AWS tools.
  • Ensure the architecture is future-proof and scalable for high traffic.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions for high system availability and reliability.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js/React.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-based solutions with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, serverless computing, and API design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases.
  • Proficiency with AWS DevOps tools (e.g., CloudFormation, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, IAM).
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD practices and automation pipelines.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of backend security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and secure API development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a proven ability to manage teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and scale backend systems for high traffic and low-latency performance.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with GraphQL and WebSockets.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud security practices.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
