Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable OpenStack environments using Kolla-Ansible and TripleO.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Ceph storage clusters for block, file, and object storage.
  • Maintain and optimize OpenStack control plane and compute resources for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
  • Integrate OpenStack environments with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure changes and application deployments.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, including OpenStack deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience deploying OpenStack using Kolla-Ansible (container-based deployment) and TripleO (bare-metal deployment).
  • Relevant 3-5 years of experience with containerization technologies, primarily Docker.
  • Relevant 2-3 years of experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift administration.
  • Proficiency in Ceph storage setup and management for block, file, and object storage.
  • Strong proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management.
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems administration.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts relevant to cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • RHCE certified.
Good-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
