Job Title: Merchandiser

The role of a Merchandiser encompasses end-to-end merchandising responsibilities in woven garments, serving as the vital link between buyers, suppliers, and the production team.

This position involves strong coordination, costing knowledge, and delivering products that meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and timelines. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Design team for seasonal collections as per customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices, and confirm orders with respective buyers.
  • Process material orders on time while improving budget and costs.
  • Provide exceptional attention to detail, work independently, and adapt to changing environments and challenges.
  • Handle small and high-value businesses effectively.
  • Maintain strong and clear communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing, including categories like shirts, jackets, and bottoms.
  • Show leadership and management skills.
  • Promote result-driven achievements through ownership and commitment.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, Fashion Technology, or equivalent.
  • 1-8 years of experience as a Merchandiser in a woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
