Job Summary

The primary objective of this role is to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of income, expenses, and changes in assets and liabilities in accordance with IFRS requirements.">
  • Review and approve journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.">
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement trend analyses for management.">
  • Compile quarterly lender compliance packages.">
  • Ensure overall technical accounting compliance by monitoring relevant IFRS and US GAAP developments to ensure accounting policies and procedures align with current standards.">
  • Serve as an internal technical accounting expert, performing research and preparing technical accounting memos, reviewing new and existing revenue contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition.">
  • Collaborate cross-functionally during contract negotiations by analyzing non-standard contract terms, communicating revenue impact, and offering alternative structures.">
  • Participate in quarterly forecasting procedures and annual budget processes.">
  • Support the annual audit and quarterly reviews, providing supporting analysis and technical accounting memos.">
  • Deliver training sessions and keep stakeholders informed about developments in accounting and revenue recognition.">
  • Maintain excellent customer service with other departments and stakeholders.">
  • Develop and/or improve existing policies, procedures, and controls.">
  • Work with the Controller and Assistant Controller on various initiatives and complete ad-hoc requests.">

Education and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.">
  • CPA/CA certification preferred.">

Minimum Requirements:

  • ">
  • At least 7 years of experience in finance and accounting, including 2 years of supervisory experience.">
  • Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience required.">

Skills and Knowledge:

  • ">
  • Strong technical accounting background with thorough knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP, including experience with technical research and preparation of accounting memorandums.">
  • Software revenue recognition a plus.">
  • Ability to clearly document and effectively communicate complex accounting issues to both finance and non-finance teams.">
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.">
  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written).">
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, multitask efficiently, and manage individuals.">
  • Detail-oriented with high ethics and integrity.">
  • Experience with accounting systems; Microsoft D365 Finance experience a plus.">
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge depth in complex functions/data analysis using tools like V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.">
  • Ability to cultivate a positive team atmosphere to drive success.">
