BIM Project Coordinator - MEP

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to play a crucial role in the digital delivery and integration of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To manage and coordinate the overall use of BIM for projects, ensuring seamless integration and data management.
  • To develop and implement BIM workflows, protocols, and standards within the project team, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • To analyse and implement BIM execution plans for deliverables, guaranteeing high-quality outputs.
  • To document and communicate best practices and workflows to team members.
  • Primary contact for BIM-related technical support, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Liaise and coordinate with BIM specialists, modelers, leads, and managers to ensure effective collaboration.
  • To manage Revit project production and contents, including standard library objects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Create families and possess expertise in modeling techniques.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary models, integrating data from various sources.
  • Lead and manage a team of MEP CAD/Revit modelers, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Utilize Navisworks tools for review, QC, and documentation, streamlining processes.
  • Responsible for conducting QA/QC before deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Provide one-to-one mentoring on 'best practice' workflows to project teams as required, enhancing skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor team compliance with BIM standards and guidelines, promoting a culture of excellence.

Key Competencies / Skills:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in design, drafting, and BIM management on large-scale projects.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and 3D BIM authoring tools.
  • Experience in using Navis for coordination.
  • Technical knowledge of MEP services.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and solve problems.
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibilities.
