Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and executing performance testing activities to ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our software applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to identify performance bottlenecks and drive improvements. Your primary objective will be to design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance test plans that simulate real-world scenarios and provide actionable insights for optimization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning and execution of performance test activities, including load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define performance testing objectives and success criteria
  • Designing and developing performance test scripts using industry-standard tools
  • Analyzing performance test results, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing performance optimization strategies
  • Creating performance test reports and presenting findings to project teams and management
  • Working closely with development teams to address performance issues and optimize application performance
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing and optimization
  • Mentoring and coaching junior performance testers to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance testing and engineering
  • Expertise in performance testing tools, such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling
  • Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience in designing and executing performance test scenarios for web-based applications
  • Ability to analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks
  • Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
  • Relevant certifications in performance testing or software testing are a plus
